Week 5 - Graphic Design - Artist Research - Noma Bar

Graphic Design - Artist Research - Noma Bar

Noma Bar was born in 1973 in Israel. e is a graphic designer whose work has appeared in many media outlets including: 'Time out London', 'BBC', 'Random House', 'The Observer', 'The economist' and 'Wallpaper'. He has illustrated over 60 magazine covers and published over 550 illustrations and released two books of his work.

I actually like Noma Bar's work quite a lot for the simple fact of there is simlicity within it. They are really clever and showt that he thinks about what he is doing. The piece above shows a face obviously of a doctor. This stethoscope gives this away yet it also represents a face which i thought was actually a great idea.

This piece is similar to the previous one as i can see the end of a fountail pen yet the microphone aswell. It's as if it is testing the audience to what they see first. The pure blocks of colour is something i think works well as it is simple and makes the work easier to see.
