Fashion - Task 4

I began to make my final garment by using the folding method. I think that the triangular shape towards the bottom of the piece fits the mannqeuin nicely.

I liked to look at my garment from different angles to see it more from more than one point of view so that it didn't just look presentable from the front. One thing i liked was how the card wasnt fitted to the mannequin it stood slightly off it yet it still worked how i wanted it to.

I wanted to continue useing the triangle shape to show repetition and emphasise the shape i already made above it. As i didn't get to finish my final garment i thought of possible ideas i could have continued with it such as repeating the triangle shape further down the body.

Drawing from my final garment was an interesting task and something i really enjoyed as drawing is one of my strongest subjects.

Using a mixed media of graphite and red biro created a contrast of interesting lines.

Black ink also worked well as i was able to create thicker and darker lines rather than just thinner lines.
