Textiles - Task 3
The final task for textiles was to create another two pieces of work on larger strips of paper. I worked from a colour pallete i create (in my sketchbook) by using inks and emulsion so i had a darker but brigher piece and one that was more washed out. I collaged my pieces similarly to make them look more of a pair.
I used the same object and created some quick simple line drawings to get my pieces going.
I really liked using white emulsion and masking-tape to block areas out on my piece therefore used this method again on my two larger pieces.
I turned my piece each time i layered a drawing over the top so that the drawings wern't all the same way.
Working over my pieces with white emulsion on a thin paintbrush really made an obvious drawing and added more to my piece.
Although they are both very different i can really see the similarities that make these two drawings one piece.
