Photography - Task 3
The first photographer i chose to look at is Fay Godwin. I found her work is mostly of landscapes/scenery in Derbyshire. The contrast between the black and white in this photograph is something that first caught my eye as it is very obvious and noticable. I think that it has quite a cold eery feeling to it, i simply thought this because the weather itself looks stormy but the beach itself is isolated, which made me want to know why it was.
The second photo is by Henri Bresson. This is yet again another black and white photo. The first thing i actually notiaced was the spiral stairway and the metal railing. With it being spiraled it really made my eyes follow it round. I like how the biker seems out of focus, most likely for it was moving quickly when the photo was being taken.
Imogen Cunningham is a photographer who i found looks up closely as objects, mainly flowers. Detail is something i like in most of my work so in this case the detail on the photograph and on the flowers is the first thing i noticed, it really had me looking at the photograph. With there being no background my attention was all on the main object.
This photography by Paulo Roversi made me thing of fragility and vunerability. This may be for the reason that the model doesn't look as if she is wearing any clothes, which i would initially think would make someone vunerable and unable to protect themselves as much.
